the love lock series: introduction

After realizing how little I know about love in the last post (everything I know about love at 19), I decided to do some research and see what some of my peers think. So I went out and interviewed 19 college students, asking them this question:

What makes you fall in love AND pursue/say ‘yes’ to a relationship?

When I first had this idea, I thought it was the worst one I’ve ever had, and that no one would be interested. To my surprise, I received such an influx of detailed, thorough responses, that I now have more than enough material to create a series.

So I present to you the love lock series, a total of ten chapters that include the stories and wise words I got to hear in the 19 interviews. I will be releasing two posts a week, starting this Friday, until the series is complete.

The answers I heard offered such a huge perspective shift for me, one that I’m grateful to have received, and I hope that what I share with you, whether you’re single or in a relationship, provides you with a greater understanding of how simple life and love can be. The men and women who were kind enough to share their insights with me truly helped me recognize how easy love is.
